At the age of 42 I decided it was time to fulfill a lifelong dream. From my intro ride through getting my Private Pilots license, Kevin made sure every minute in the cockpit was money well spent. He was attentive to my needs as a student and allowed for experimentation. We switched from a Cessna 172 to a Piper Cherokee at my request, and I also got to fly the Cirrus SR-20. In certain areas I requested more than just the required tasks and Kevin delivered. We flew actual instrument conditions as well as performing instrument approaches in addition to the minimum requirements for a Private Pilot.
My work schedule can get erratic and Kevin's flexibility accommodated this. I was able to pass my Private Checkride in a timely and cost efficient manner, while also receiving the knowledge and skill to be a safe pilot. Having an instructor who is knowledgeable, dedicated, and loves to teach others to fly is a tremendous asset for any student. I was extremely fortunate in having Kevin as my CFI.

Before taking off for the training, Kevin made sure every minute in the
cockpit would be of value. He quelled my worries on spins on the ground,
gave me an excellent demo in the air, and gave clear explanations as to
where I could improve the maneuvers in flight, all while keeping the flying
fun. He has earned my highest recommendation!
